Heli-Central was founded in 2010 by chief pilot Russell Nobbs. Initially starting as a rural helicopter mustering operation and scenic flights of Carnarvon Gorge, the business has grown and its services have diversified to meet the expanding mining, coal seam gas markets and recently expanded their tourism division of scenic flights.
Heli-Central pilots and support teams have extensive experience in regional and remote operations including supporting oil and gas operations in North America and remote sites in the Asia Pacific region. Each of our pilots has a background in the rural industry with experience on the ground before becoming a pilot. This gives them the experience and knowledge that will save the client time and money.
Heli-Central holds an Aircraft Operators Certificate (CASA) and an Aerial Applicators License.
Heli-Central employs 10 staff including 6 pilots.
Pilots have experience working in the oil and gas industry in Canada and have worked extensively in Australian conditions in regional and remote areas.
Heli-Central has a work management system that tracks all activities and uses financial accounting software for invoicing and resource management.
Continuous improvement is a focus for Heli-Central. The company constantly monitors performance and regular reviews with clients are undertaken to identify areas for improvement.
All pilots and personnel that are required for any helicopter operations are inducted into the Heli-Central Safety Management system.
